Private investment in development of Azov-Kuban Region reaches 89 billion roubles

Private investment in the development of the Azov-Kuban Region totalled 89 billion roubles in 2025, according to the Krasnodar Region's Ministry of Economy.

The ministry, citing the region's Minister of Economy, Alexei Yurtaev, clarified that the region's own development strategy for the Azov-Kuban Region has been in place since 2024. In 2025, 26 initiatives were carried out under this strategy, with regional funding for social and infrastructure projects exceeding 1.8 billion roubles. According to the ministry, the implemented projects have significant tax capacity; therefore, a substantial increase in fiscal support is planned for this year.

The strategy covers the Yeysky, the Temryuksky, the Shcherbinovsky, and the Slavyansky Districts, as well as the Primorsko-Akhtarsky Municipal District, which together account for around 13.5% of the land of the Krasnodar Region and are home to around 500,000 people.

The programme's total investment portfolio through 2030 is estimated at 700 billion roubles. The authorities expect tourist numbers on the Azov coast to grow by approximately 1.5 times over the period, reaching 1.5 million people a year.
