Veniamin Kondratyev: The investment portfolio of the Krasnodar Territory includes 510 major projects worth 2.9 trillion rubles

The Governor of the Krasnodar Territory informed journalists about the significant impact of investment as the main driver of the region’s economy.

«Our region boasts a diverse and high-value portfolio of investment projects across multiple sectors. More than 510 major projects worth 2.9 trillion rubles are currently underway. They will create over 103,000 new jobs. These are all-time record values,» said Veniamin Kondratyev.

According to the governor, investing in resorts and tourism is highly appealing. With 134 major projects underway, this industry is expected to bring over 35,000 new jobs to the region.

«First of all, this is a large-scale development of Sochi’s health resort complex. Investors plan to invest 200 billion rubles in the renovation of sanatoriums and hotels by 2026. This will increase the room inventory of our main resort city by 9.6 thousand rooms», added Veniamin Kondratyev.

We have already started building the Primorskaya hotel complex along with its infrastructure. The Volna sanatorium and Kristall health resort in Khostinskiy district are currently renovated.

The agroindustrial complex ranks second in terms of large investment projects, with a total of 120. One of the most important for the industry is the creation of a full-cycle cluster for the production of wine products in Anapa and the Temryuk district.

Investors are showing a keen interest in the manufacturing industry, with a specific focus on import substitution and export-oriented businesses, as well as the construction sector. The investment levels in the consumption, fuel and energy industry, as well as the housing and utilities sector, and the development of a livable urban setting, are all equally significant.

Investment activity is fueled by the development of infrastructure. Out of all the major projects, 5% are focused on the regional transportation sector. Another crucial aspect is the strengthening of the resource base. The Udarnaya thermal power plant in the Krymsk district is almost complete. It will provide 560 megawatts of additional electric capacity.

The port of Taman is currently undergoing development for a large-scale project that includes the creation of a port-industrial park. By 2028, the cargo turnover capacity will be raised to 100 million tons.

The Krasnodar Territory has maintained its leading position in investment within the Southern Federal District for many years. Half of all projects in the Southern Federal District are located in Kuban, with investors contributing 40% of the total investment.
