Veniamin Kondratyev: In 2023, exports of Kuban products with high added value increased 2.5 times

The governor of the Krasnodar Territory told reporters about this.

«The region’s macroeconomics heavily relies on its export potential. Our main goal a few years ago was to prioritize promoting processed agricultural goods for export. Our focus is shifting away from grain exports and towards increasing the proportion of high-value goods in our supply. In 2023, we were pleased to see a significant increase in the export of oil, fats, meat, dairy products, fish, and seafood. As a whole, the region’s agro-industrial complex shipped abroad products worth 2.6 billion dollars», said Veniamin Kondratyev.

The governor has stated plans to increase the export of agro-industrial products to $2.7 billion in 2024. Kuban exporters will primarily target the Middle East, Africa, and Asia as their key markets. China, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, and Belarus are the top foreign economic partners in the region’s agro-industrial sector. A significant amount of agricultural exports is sent to Syria, Iran, Venezuela, and Cuba. For the first time the region exported mineral water to Gibraltar.

Kuban is the third largest exporter of agricultural products in the country.
